Don't skip leg day

Triptych of three images showing the bend, pull and extend phases of the deadlift exercise. The photos are black and white with the male athlete lifting a barbell laden with hexagonal weight plates. The photo is taken in a garage gym, with equipment such as more bards and weights show hung from the wall in the background. We are looking at a middle-aged man from behind his right should so we can see the exercise in profile.

"Don't skip leg day" - it’s the biggest exercise cliché.

Think of it like this though - if leg day was an aspect of your business, it would be the important and significant tasks that would noticeably move things forwards but, that frankly feel too hard, and in no way sexy.

Leg day doesn’t focus on the “nightclub muscles”. Leg day isn’t what you think you should do to look good on the beach. Leg day doesn’t give you those quick wins and insta-friendly “bulges”.

And leg day is brutal! You’re using the biggest muscles in your body and that takes massive effort.

But… Engaging those muscles has a far-reaching impact.

Leg day burns the most calories of any “split”. You’re also activating other muscle groups (e.g. core) so the effect on overall fitness is also greater (and without realising, you actually are getting more beach-ready). You’re also building strength and resilience in the area of the body that literally holds the rest of you up!

Don't skip leg day

Leg day sucks. Bulgarian Split Squats especially suck.

But man, they make a difference.

I’m hopeful you’ve bought into the analogy 😉🏋🏼

What’s your business Leg day?
