If I could fix one thing in your business, what would it be (and why)?

Selection of hand tools including a hammer, screwdriver, various wrenches and spanners, tape measure and spirit level etc. Purpose of the image is to suggest the answer to the question - "If I could fix one thing in your business, what would it be (and why)?"

That's a big question for a Tuesday morning. It's also quite presumptive of me – to suggest something in your business is broken. How (very) dare I?

And yet... is something a bit askew?

Tell me where you're at right now. On a scale of one-ten (ten being "everything is rosey thanks Mr Nosey"), how's business?

  • 9-10 – perfect! Couldn't be better!

  • 7-8 – Room for improvement but still pretty good

  • 5-6 – It's not lighting me up right now

  • 3-4 – At least the bills are getting paid

  • 0-2 – Oh dear Lord am I in a pickle!?

Continuing the presumption...

Two questions for you then (assuming you're not a 10/10):

  • What are you doing to move the score from where it is to where you want it to be (and where it deserves to be)?

  • What can I do to help you move the score from where it is to where you want it to be (and where it deserves to be)?

Seriously though... If I could fix one thing in your business, what would it be (and why)?

The bravest thing any business owner can do (especially a solopreneur) is put their hand up. I get it – I'm guilty of it too! We love trying to do it all ourselves (it's our business, our baby). We don't want to let go of anything, relinquish control or admit defeat.

But what if that next 'win' sits just outside your existing Comfort Zone? (spoiler alert - it does). What difference would it make if you raised that hand? If I could fix one thing in your business, what would it be (and why)?

Two completely free 'test drives

I wanted to highlight two complimentary (and complementary) options that might begin your journey (and our conversation) further up the top ten:

  1. Take the Business Bravery Quiz – Designed for small business owners, this will help you find out a little more about where you already shine and what is stopping you from shining brighter*

  2. Book a 30-min call – You'll be amazed what we can unlock in half hour. It might be the conversation you needed to have

The best song on Bon Jovi's seminal 1986 album, Slippery When Wet, is Raise your Hands.

I mean I'm not a huge fan, but they made a good point with that one!
