Pat Yourself on the Back: Celebrating Your Successes

I reckon you're doing pretty well there! But when was the last time you celebrated your own successes out loud? It doesn't matter how huge, tiny, planned, or scrappy they are – every win counts.

Tiny Noticeable Things (TNTs)

A former coaching colleague of mine used to talk about TNTs – Tiny Noticeable Things. Being only 5'6", I wondered if she meant me! But no, she was referring to the seemingly small victories that we often overlook. These victories are always worthy of calling out:

  • Making that phone call (the one you've been putting off)

  • Getting that no (which means you can finally move on to the next possible yes)

  • Deleting that old web page (the one telling the world about the stuff you used to do but don't want to do anymore)

One of my favourite TNT stories comes from a small business owner who 'noticed' an extra £20 in her purse at the end of the week. It wasn't about the amount of money. It was about her brand new, independent, self-run business starting to give back. It was HER £20!

What Are Your TNTs?

Hit up the comments section! I want to cheerlead from the sidelines on your behalf. Or share them with the universe on social media, in your next email newsletter, or blog. Wherever the people that matter to your business can find you.

What Are My TNTs?

Well, it's kind of you to ask! I was recently named a finalist in not one but TWO National Coaching Awards:

  • Paseda360 Rising Star

  • Paseda360 Emerging Coach of the Year 2025

You can read about it all on my LinkedIn. I'll be practising my gracious defeat face for the ceremony on Thursday 5th February 2026. Whatever happens, I feel like I have already won.

You better believe I'll have a victory dance planned too!

Why TNTs Matter

The more you lean into your TNTs, the more inclined you are to look for the positive. You become more optimistic and resilient.

And then a strange thing happens. The more you look, the more TNTs you'll find. Like I said at the start, I reckon you're doing pretty well there.

Embracing the Journey

It's essential to embrace this journey of celebrating your wins. Every small step forward is a testament to your hard work and dedication. When you acknowledge these victories, you create a positive feedback loop. This loop fuels your motivation and drives you to achieve even more.

Building a Supportive Community

Sharing your TNTs with others can create a supportive community. When you celebrate your successes, you inspire those around you to do the same. This shared positivity can lead to a ripple effect, encouraging everyone to acknowledge their achievements, no matter how small.

Overcoming Mindset Challenges

Many small business owners face mindset challenges that can hold them back. It's easy to get caught up in self-doubt or to focus on what hasn't gone right. However, by celebrating your TNTs, you shift your focus to what you have accomplished. This shift can help you overcome those hesitations and embrace your true potential.

The Power of Reflection

Take a moment to reflect on your journey. What have you achieved in the past week, month, or year? Write down your TNTs. Seeing them in black and white can be incredibly empowering. It serves as a reminder of how far you've come and what you're capable of achieving.

Setting New Goals

Once you've acknowledged your TNTs, consider setting new goals. What do you want to achieve next? Break these goals down into smaller, manageable steps. Each time you complete one of these steps, celebrate it! This will keep you motivated and focused on your path to success.

Conclusion: Keep It Up!

Remember, every win counts. Whether it's a small victory or a significant achievement, take the time to celebrate. The more you lean into your TNTs, the more you'll discover about yourself and your capabilities.

Keep it up! You’re on the right track, and I can’t wait to hear about your successes!
